Here is tournament rapport from todays games:

BK Boners – FBB 2-8
1-1 Jeetu (Tomba)
1-2 JM (Petri)
1-3 Kim (Lauri)
1-4 JaniG (Tomba)
1-5 JM (Lauri)
1-6 Jere (Kim)
1-7 Jere (Lauri)
2-8 Jere (Lauri)

Penalties: JaniG 2 min and Bryksi 2 got 2 min penalty even though he was in Austria!
(I think it was Lauri’s # 9 penalty that is marked to # 7 Bryksi)

FBB – Derius II 1-6
1-1 MHz (Kim)

No penalties!

Before first game we had some bad news. Our number one goalie Jani couldn’t not make take the game. So we had to go with back up. Luckily this mad whole team to defend very well and our goalie didn’t face that many shots during a game. But Boners had good start to game and scored games first goal after 4 minutes. Slowly FBB started to dominate the game and started to have lots of shots. Middle of FBB’s attack there was Boners breakaway which ended in foul and penalty shot. Boners star forward was ready to take take the penalty shot and started to move towards the goal. Just when he was ready to make his move he came to distance where he smelled the goalies oder. I guess he was shocked by this nice smell because he did lost control of the ball and just rolled to conner. This was the turning point and after that FBB started to dominate the game scoring 7 goals before Boners could answer. Jere did scored a hat trick and Lauri had four assist. But all credit to whole team because everybody did defend well and it was real team effort to get this nice 8-2 victory. We even managed again to kill one 5 agains 3 shorthanded situation.

The second game was against Derius. The rumor is that they are the toughest team of our division. And so far they where the best team that we have faced. But before the game we had good news because we had our number uno goalie Jani in the line up. Considering that they where the best team in our division and we where missing lots of good players we really played well. First period ended 0-0 and second 1-1. Derius was pressuring most of the time but FBB had their moments too. But after two periods I started to show that this was FBB’s second game for the day and it was Derius first. Also, FBB had played both games only with two lines and Derisus had three. Derius got early goal in third period and after that FBB had to attack more. This did lead to counter attacks and Derius had skill and talent to score from those opportunities. In games last 5 minutes Derisus did score three times from very good spots.

So FBB had 5 good periods today and one bad one. But the team management is optimistic about the future. I am sure that when we get our missing players back in the line up and three full lines we can beat every team in our division. In both tournaments we have lost the second game and both times in third period. So we need that three lines in both games so we will have still some running power in second games third period.

Our next tournament is sunday 11.11. It is our home tournament so we will have game in the morning (10) and evening (19). But before that I hope you will come to play on sundays. The semi-mandatory team practise is 4.11. Also before that I try to arrange us a practise game against this 6th division team.
